This fall the Newbury Woman's Club is sponsoring a raffle for a lovely blue on white hand-painted ceramic bowl as part of their Open Studio Weekend fall fundraiser, Oct 8-9 at the Old Village Church on the Common in Newbury. In conjunction with the Vermont Crafts Council Open Studio and Vermont North by Hand art exhibition in the church, the club will be displaying this unique item, donated to the club by the internationally recognized artist, James McGarrell. Tickets are $5 each with all proceeds going toward the Old Village Church restoration fund. The drawing for the bowl will be Dec. 4. Additionally, the club will be offering lunch (homemade soup, roll and drink for $5) and a baked goods dessert/snack table both days.
