For those of you who don't know about OLLI (the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), it is a group that presents weekly lectures on various topics, geared to people over 50, but really anyone can come to the presentations, and our speakers are of all ages. This week's talk will be by Emily Kaminsky, on ''Making the Granite City Grocery a Reality''. Ms. Kaminsky is active in community activities, and has been instrumental in the development of the upcoming Coop in Barre.
The Osher meetings in Central Vermont are always on Wednesday at 1:30, in either Barre or Montpelier. This week's presentation will be in Barre, at the Aldrich Public Library. For non-members, there is a suggested donation of $5.00.
I'll be posting the upcoming talks weekly. If you want to know more about OLLI and the benefits of becoming a member, please do email me, or call me at 454-7814.
