For $30 per ticket, historians will show guests the five following museums:
Daughters of the American Revolution’s “John Strong Mansion”.
Chimney Point State Historic Site, both located in west Addison, Vermont.
Crown Point State Historic Site.
Penfield Homestead Museum – both of which are located in the town of Crown Point, NY Center museum in Port Henry, NY.
This sampler tour includes bottle of cold water, bag of snacks and ends with a buffet lunch in a classic 89-year old diner, all included in the price of the tour ticket.
Maps and directions will be provided for each driver, so that tour goers can easily drive from museum to museum.
Please make checks payable to “Friends of Crown Point S.H.S.” Tour space is limited to 35 people; the public is encouraged but not required to pre-register; walk-ups will be welcome, space permitting. This sampler tour progresses from one indoor location to the next, so it will go forward rain-or-shine.
Friends of Crown Point State Historic Site, Inc. is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that was established in 1985 to help promote, conserve, develop, and interpret both national Historic Landmark fort ruins at Crown Point Historic Site, for the benefit of the public. The Friends are pleased to work with the operators of five excellent local history museums in order to offer this special tour.
