Friends of Brown Public Library Quarterly Board Meeting

Past event
Sep 28, 2016, 6 to 8 PM

First, the Friends of the Brown Public Library would like to thank everyone that helped to make our first event, The Wine and Cheese Reception, a success. 15 people joined the Friends. Hopefully, this can become an annual event, as everyone there had a great time and bought some great books. All funds from the book sale went to the library.

If you weren't able to make it to the Wine and Cheese Reception or to the Brown Public Library's Labor Day Book Sale, you can still purchase books in the Brown Public Library's book store that's open during the library's hours of operation. And for every book you purchase you get an entry into the monthly drawing for a $5.00 book certificate to spend at the book store.

This month's winner is: Tossy Garrett.

We'd also like to thank Tops and Berlin Shaw's for donating the cheeses for the event and the Northfield Pharmacy and O'Maddi's for hanging up flyers for the event.

Now on to the announcement...

The Friends of the Brown Public will be having it's Quarterly Board Meeting at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 28 in the Community Room at the Brown Public Library. Members are invited to join us. And even if you're not a member, but thinking of becoming one, come on by to see what the Friends are about and what future plans we have to help and support the library. It just might convince you to become a Friend, too.

If you are a member and have an idea for a future event or fundraiser it's a great time to come meet the board and suggest it to us. There's just five members on the board, so you may have a great idea that just hasn't occurred to us. So come to the meeting and let us hear what you think.

Snacks and Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there.
