Girls Night Out” at Hyde Park Home Day – Sept. 17

Come and join us at Hyde Park Home Day, September 17 from noon to 3:00 p.m. From 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., you'll be tapping your toes and singing along with some old favorites with originals thrown in with soothing harmonies!! Check out these three "Girls" from Girls Night Out,!

Carrie Cook (aka Cookie) is a jazz bassist with blues, country and jug band leanings. She learned to play bass as a child with her jazz musician dad. He would bribe her to play when he and his jazz friends needed a bassist during their late night jams. Carrie now plays with a bunch of local bands and throws in kazoo now and then... just for giggles. Debbie Yacovone has spent her adult life bringing music to the local folks from pre-school on up...and up....and up! Having worked at the Manor for the last 11 years, Debbie's musical repertoire has expanded to different genres and eras. Nancy MacDowell has been enjoying retirement from WLVB for almost 10 years. During that time she has recorded a couple of CDs, performed in the Ground Hog Opry, and teamed up with Carrie and Debbie to form Girls’ Night Out in 2012. Together they recorded a 4 song sampler CD that will be available at the Hyde Park Home Day event on September 17th. They will be performing from 1-3pm. Carrie, Nancy and Debbie enjoy singing sweet harmonies on some old favorites as well as original tunes.
