Annual Bible Talk in Ripton. Sunday, September 18, 4-5:30 p.m., Ripton Community Church. President Laurie L. Patton, President of Middlebury College, will deliver the 2016 Rabbi Victor E. Reichert Bible Talk on a book of the Hebrew Bible common to Christians and Jews. She has entitled her presentation “Reading, Resting, Contemplation: A Biblical View.” The Bible Talk is an interfaith tradition unique to Addison County, established over 70 years ago by the Ripton United Methodist Church’s “Rabbi-in-Residence.” Light refreshment will be served.
