It's turning out to be a busy fall at at the Lanpher Library! We hope you will join us for some of our great programs and events!

Saturday, September 17th 12:00-3:00 Hyde Park Home Day Annual Book Sale on the Library Lawn. A wide variety of books will be for sale..by donation! Take what you want...and $ give what you can.
The Friends of the Lanpher Memorial Library will be selling Book Bags to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Lanpher Library. These roomy canvas totes are only $15 and are perfect for all of your Library items, or whatever you need to carry!
1:00-2:00 Hyde Park Home Day Elephant and Piggie will be at the Lanpher Library! The beloved characters of Mo Willems' books will be available for pictures, and to meet, and will be giving away free, hardcover copies of their books (while supplies last).

Monday, September 19th 6:00 pm.: Night Owl Story Time kicks off our Junior Naturalist Program Series with Harvest Happenings! It's harvest time in Vermont. Which plants are farmers harvesting right now and which parts of those plants do we find the yummiest? FREE, FUN, INFORMATIVE AND INTERACTIVE!

September 25-October 1: BANNED BOOKS WEEK! Celebrate your freedom to read what you choose. Banned Books Week highlights the value of free and open access to information, even if that information, or ideas are considered by some to be unorthodox, or unpopular.

Monday September 26th: BATMAN DAY! 6:00-7:00 p.m. The Lanpher Library and the Morristown Centennial Library team up as the Dynamic Duo to present Batman Day! Dress in costume, bring a Batman Show and Tell, participate in a few activities and get some great giveaways! All ages welcome!!!

Monday, October 3rd 6:00: An Evening with International Students. Meet students from around the world who are living and going to school in the area for the year. Learn about where they are from and what they think of Vermont! All are welcome!

Tuesday, October 4th 5:30-7:00: Backyard Composting Conversation Are you an avid composter? Maybe just curious? This workshop will address your decomposition questions. Master Composters will discuss the science, the do's and don'ts and answer your specific questions. Free gifts for all attendees! One Soil Saver Compost Bin will be raffled off at the event!

ONGOING CONNECTIONS AND COLLECTIONS:
The Lanpher Library has a permanent food collection box for the Lamoille Community Food Share. Bring in your nonperishable food donations any time of the year!

Do you purchase General Mills food products and clip the Box Tops For Education...but don't have anyone to give them to? Or maybe you don't clip them for the same reason? Well, now you can bring them in to the Lanpher Library and we'll get them to Hyde Park Elementary School for their Sports for Life Program.
