RES Four Winds Needs Your Help to Continue!
We are in our 10th year of offering the AMAZING Four Winds Nature Program at RES. The Four Winds Nature Program is an incredible Natural Science Education Program taught by community volunteers. This is our second year offering Four Winds during the monthly delayed starts (2nd Wed of each month) at RES. Due to some big changes in the structure of how we are running the program, we are in desperate need of more volunteers to help teach. We don't have enough volunteers yet to keep our program going this year. Our first class is next Wednesday 9/14 from 7:30-9:30 am at RES.
Please consider coming to the initial training TOMORROW (if you can't make it but want to help we will have a video you can watch):
Wednesday, September 7th at 8:00 a.m. in the RES Art Room
By helping us out you will have an AWESEOME time and, just as importantly, you will help us achieve the following:
Get students OUTSIDE to explore the natural world around them!
Increase understanding, awareness and protection of our local natural environment
Provide FREE, FUN hands-on natural science education
.Strengthen community connections as RES students and adults explore the environment together
Come join the fun and help keep RES Four Winds going strong!!
If you're just not sure, come anyway. Four Winds does a GREAT job teaching volunteers how to teach the content. Most of our time with the students is spent exploring nature, doing hands-on, fun activities and sharing the material and our own experiences and knowledge. It's really fun and truly amazing to see every student engaged, having a great time and learning a ton!
