Jewish Papercuts Workshop This Sunday

Past event
Sep 11, 2016, 10 AM to 1 PM

Learn the centuries-old folk art of Ashkenazi and Sefardi Jews in this workshop led by Tamar Shadur, daughter of renowned papercut artists Yehudit and Joseph Shadur. We'll explore what makes a papercut Jewish, and by employing artistic elements such as symmetry, positive and negative shapes, and Jewish symbols you'll create at least one papercut with simple materials.

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the results, even if you have limited artistic experience; just in time for designing your own New Year cards.

Advance registration required. Fee: $20 for members; $25 for non-members. All materials supplied. Register at http://bethjacobvt.org/.
