Pulling trash out of rivers is surprisingly fun and satisfying. Get your feet wet, help clean up local waterways, and enjoy working with other volunteers! The Friends of the Winooski River will be holding its annual river clean-up on Saturday, September 10th from 8:30 am to 1 pm, and volunteers are needed to help remove trash from the Dog, North Branch, Steven’s Branch, and Winooski rivers. We are also in need of folks to do miscellaneous after-clean-up tasks. Pre-registration at http://signup.com/go/qP5xzN is appreciated, but last minute volunteers are also welcomed.
