Update! The Green Mt. Stage Race has shifted our Kids' Crit time to 1:15pm START. Riders arrive by 12:15pm. Although this is amidst the "races", this is NOT a kids' race - but a FUN event! Medals for all, raffle prizes, cheering crowds!

Come join a bunch of kids and the Richard Tom Foundation (RTF), hosting our 2nd annual Kids' Crit!

RTF Kids' Crit was initiated in 2015 as part of the Green Mountain Stage Race Series. Although the series is for professional racers, the Kids' Crit is a FUN non-competitive component for kids! The goal is a fun ride, not a timed competition, with medals and a raffle and schwag bag for all participants. The Kids' Crit is free to children 7-10 years old and consists of 2-4 laps on a 1-block section of the Criterium course in downtown Burlington on Labor Day. Kids love it! The Richard Tom Foundation was formed following the tragic death of our beloved friend Richard Tom when he was struck and killed while cycling by a speeding driver on April 26, 2015. Richard loved working with and supporting children in selection of bikes and encouraging a healthy life style.
