Informational Meeting Concerning New Starksboro Zoning Plan

Past event
Aug 31, 2016

I hope Starksboro residents are able to join a meeting concerning the new town zoning. It will be held at 7 pm this Wednesday the 31st of August, at the First Baptist Church in the village across from the library. The new zoning has already been passed by the Select Board. A petition requesting a vote by the residents of Starksboro has prevented its adoption so that residents get a chance to understand it first. Residents will be able to vote it up or down. There are big changes involved in the proposed zoning plan, many that I am very concerned about, many that seem out of scale and out of character with our town. This meeting is a chance to understand the proposed changes.

Dan Baker, a past member of the planning commission for nearly 20 years, will present an analysis of the new zoning regulations, and will compare it with our current plan. There will be an open moderated discussion as well. You can inform yourself for a vote that will be held on 27 September by Australian ballot. I hope to see you there, Jim Geier
