Are you concerned about falling? If you or someone you care for is at risk of falling, this workshop is for you. Stand Strong is a fall prevention program that examines how we move, from the ground up, starting with our feet, moving through the legs and hips, the back, the shoulders and neck. This four-class workshop will help you understand how normal aging processes contribute to falls, the risk factors associated with falls, and how to create personal plans for fall prevention. Caregivers are welcome to attend.
Stand Strong will help you learn how your physical habits affect you, help you make improvements to daily habits so that you can avoid falling, and begin to improve your posture and balance. At the end of this workshop, you will feel better about growing older and standing stronger along the way.
This is a 5-part workshop that takes place December 6, 8, 13, 15, and 20, 4-5:30pm each evening.
Taking place at CVPS/Leahy Community Health Education Center, 160 Allen Street, Rutland, VT
