Blessing of the Backpacks and Briefcases at Richmond Congregational Church, United Church of Christ

All of God’s children, young and old, are encouraged to bring any of the tools you use to help you to work and learn for a special blessing. Bring your backpacks, laptops, graphing calculators, planners, smartphones, paintbrushes, car keys, and cookbooks to church. During the Time for Children, we will bless these items and remember that God is with us as our children begin a new year of learning, our teachers begin a new year of teaching, and many of our families transition to the school year rhythm.

Also mark your calendars for our 91st Annual Pilgrimmage Service at the Round Church, on Sept 4 at 10:00 AM and the Blessing of the Animals Service on September 18 at 10:00 AM.
