The Friends of the Brown Public Library will be hosting a Wine & Cheese Reception from 6-8 pm in the Community Room at the Brown Public on September 2, 2016. It's a members-only event, which means it's a great time to become a Friend. Those in attendance will be allowed early access to the books up for sale during this year's, Labor Day Book Sale at the Brown Public Library that will be going on Saturday, Sunday and Monday as part of the Labor Day festivities. All proceeds from the book sales will go directly to the Brown Public Library.

The Friends of the Brown Public Library helps the library with any expenses that aren't included in the Brown Public Library budget. We purchased a new advertising board and the prizes for this summer's Summer Reading Program and we plan to furnish snacks in the fall for Storytime Hour at the library. We're able to help the library through the membership fees members pay each year. The more members we have, the more we can do for the library.

It's not to late too join the Friends and participate in this event. You can find a membership application at the front desk in the library and you can also become a member at the door of the event. It only costs $10.00.

Entry to the event requires a Friends' membership card. Come and join us and support the Brown Public Library.
