If you’ll be around on Labor Day weekend and you enjoy choral or classical music, don’t miss this fabulous concert!
The Choir of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, will perform at St. Stephen's on the Green on Sunday, September 4th, at 4:30 p.m. Directed by Geoffrey Webber, the choir is made up of about 22 voices, men and women, from Gonville and Caius College. They will sing a program including the Faure Requiem and a variety of sacred music by composers including Antonio Lotti, Franz Schubert, John Stainer, William Harris, and Morton Lauridsen.
Tickets are $10 each and are on sale in the church office Monday through Friday from 10am-2pm and online at www.ststephensmidd.org. Don’t miss it!
You get extra credit for the proper pronunciation of the college’s name, “Caius,” which sounds like “keys.”
