Take a break from cooking dinner and doing dishes and join Essex Junction's State Representative Paul Dame and candidate Mike Plageman for a BBQ at Maple Park that is open to the public. We'll have hotdogs & hamburgers right off the grill, and enjoy some snacks while getting a chance to hear from Paul and Mike as they get ready to kick-off their respective campaigns for the November election.

If you've ever skipped over voting in the local House race because you didn't know anyone running, here's your chance to get to know two of the candidates - and enjoy a day at the park. There is no cost to the event, but there will be opportunities to enter into a 50/50 raffle with proceeds to help pay for the cost of the event.

RSVPs are not required but are helpful for planning purposes. Come with a neighbor, or bring the family and let the kids play at the park and get to know two of the people who will be on your ballot in November.
