Mr. Nikel was also known as 'Nick' or 'Tex' to his friends, passed away at his home in Montgomery, Vermont on Aug. 12, 2016. Nick was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 26, 1934. He was a long time resident of Burlington and retired as a Lieutenant from the Burlington Fire Dept. A private graveside service will be held on August 27, 2016 with a 'Celebration of Life' to follow.

Please join the family at the American Legion, 108 Depot St., Enosburg Falls, Vt. from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, August 27th to celebrate the life of Nick. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Post 42 American Legion in his name.
