Just letting folks know that there will be a contra dance in Burlington this Friday evening, on August 26. Details follow:

Time: 8-11pm, with a beginner lesson at 7:45pm
Place: First Congregational Church, 38 S. Winooski Ave.
Cost: Sliding scale of $5-12

This month's band is The Irregulars--a group of local musicians who started playing together in high school (though many have since departed for college and jobs). They always amaze with their high energy, and the number of instruments they each play.

The Mad Robin Contra Dance is held on the 4th Friday of every month. We hold an introductory lesson for newcomers at 7:45pm, before the dance begins at 8:00. No partner necessary. All dances are taught and dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome! Bring dancing shoes, a water-bottle and $5.00 – 12.00 for our sliding-scale entrance fee.
