Selectboard public hearing on proposed zoning regulation revisions. September 12 at 7pm at the Town Office. The purpose is to revise and bolster landscaping and screening requirements for commercial and industrial uses - primarily to ensure that screening requirements also apply to certain ground-mounted solar installations. Not the single solar tracker in the back yard. The new regulations would apply to solar projects larger than 15kw. The geographic area affected is town-wide.

Copies of the proposed changes are available on the Town website (http://www.hinesburg.org/) and at the Town Office - Planning & Zoning Office. Contact me for information or the 2-minute summary. Most of the changes are in section 5.6 of the existing Zoning Regulations. There is also a minor change to section 4.3.8 #2c. The proposed changes on the website show "track changes" from the existing regulations so you can see what's being added and deleted.
