As many Lincolnites already know, Lee and Doris Cassidy, beloved and long time Lincoln residents, who spent their last few years in St. Albans to be close to their families, died on August 13 and June 23 respectively.
All who wish to honor and celebrate their kind, generous, and long lives, and to bless them on their way with some good tears and the best kind of laughter, are invited to a memorial celebration at the place they called home -- once the Lathrop Farm, then Vallemar Farm, now Moose Pond Farm -- at 90 Upper Notch Road -- the corner of the Upper Notch and Ripton roads in Lincoln.
Please arrive any time starting at 2 PM on Saturday Sept. 10, rain or shine (there will be a tent).
The memorial will begin at 3 PM.
(In case of really truly wild weather, we'll gather instead at Burnham Hall on Sunday Sept. 11 at the same time. Please call #453-2960 on the 10th if you' have any questions about the weather or the date.)
Anyone wishing to honor their memory with a contribution may send it to Homeward Bound, 236 Boardman Street, in Middlebury, VT 05753 in honor of Lee and Doris Cassidy. If you'd like to send some words of condolence to their families, please mail to the following address: The Root and Cassidy Families, c/o Wendy Morgan Kellogg Rd. Swanton, Vt. 05488.
