Float bridge cleanup day Saturday is C.U. freshman community volunteer day. We are in need of a lake resident with a power boat who can be on the water by Float Bridge to supervise students (really just to "stand by") in rowboats & kayaks cleaning up debris along the west shore where it builds up. It would involve contacting a few folks with rowboats for the students to use as well as arranging to have them on site. Last year Nick Thornblade had two we used, Joe Lewis offered his & I think one other family. We will also need some weed rakes, rope & other basic supplies. I think my husband, Ted, would be willing to use our pick up to haul everything to the dump once it's out of the water. We will need some adults on land to assist as well.
