Free Advance Care Planning Seminar in Stowe Sunday

Past event
Aug 21, 2016, 2 to 4 PM

On Sunday, August 21st at 2pm, the Jewish Community of Greater Stowe (JCOGS) will offer the third in its series of Life’s Challenging Decisions: A Guide for You and Your Aging Parents: “Advance Care Planning: A Gift to Loved Ones.”

Jonna Goulding, MD, Palliative Care Physician, Director of Palliative and Spiritual Care at Central Vermont Medical Center will address this important topic many do not wish to tackle. As team leader for palliative care, Dr. Goulding’s philosophy is to listen deeply to every patient and appreciate the contribution of every member of the team. Dr. Goulding is committed to the idea of incorporating palliative care as part of excellent patient care, as well as the need to include spiritual care in all of healthcare, and as an important component of palliative care.

Advance Care planning is for everyone. Serious illness can strike at any time. Completing an Advance Directive (AD) that reflects your medical wishes and your values is a gift to loved ones.

Join JCOGS for this conversation on Sunday, August 21st, 2:00pm. The discussion is free, accessible, and open to the public. There will be light refreshments following the program. JCOGS is located at 1189 Cape Cod Road in Stowe.
