The Village Improvement Society invites you to the last concert on the common for this summer, Sunday, Aug. 21 from 6:00 to 8:00. Joe's Big Band. Quoted from their site, "Joe’s Big Band is an 18-piece ensemble of musicians who have performed for many years throughout Vermont. We play a multitude of venues varying from weddings, and dances to school, and community events including a six-year stint playing weekly dinner cruises on beautiful Lake Champlain. Our repertoire spans from swing and jazz standards to more contemporary numbers made famous by artists like Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Earth, Wind and Fire, James Brown, Santana, and many more."
Come enjoy a picnic prior to the music. This is a rain (in the academy gym) or shine event and by donation.
