Are you looking for some family-friendly summer fun? On August 20, 2016 from 11am to 3pm, please bring your family and friends to a Block Party at the Chet and Pat Buck Park, located in the triangle where Concord Avenue meets Portland Street in St. Johnsbury. The party is free and open to the public.

The party will feature children’s field day games with prizes, music, crafters, a bouncy house, climbing wall, barbeque, potato salad contest, prizes, and more. To enter your best potato salad recipe, bring your entry to the judging table by no later than 11:30am so that judges can announce the winner before the end of the event. Party goers can talk with local town officials; meet local residents and even check out one of the St. Johnsbury fire trucks. Free parking is available at the Cornerstone School, Planned Parenthood parking lot, Merchant’s Bank parking lot and Leonard Field on Concord Avenue.

This event is made possible through the concerted planning efforts of local Summerville residents, DART 2.0, the Kingdom Recovery Center, NVRH, the Community Restorative Justice Center and many generous sponsors. For more information contact one of the Block Party planning chairs: Pam Dearborn at pamelad@nchcvt.org, Cindy Boyd at 802-751-8520, or Steve Kline at 802-748-7552.
