Old Stone House Day

The Old Stone House Museum will hold its annual celebration of local history on Sunday. The museum will be open for free self guided tours from 11 to 3. Antique equipment barns and blacksmith shop open. Demonstrations of traditional skills, crafts, farmers market, children's activities, lunch by the Brownington Ladies Aid, Music by Friends and Drifters. Annual Meeting of the Orleans County Historical Society at 1, Pie Auction at 2. Come see the Orleans County Grammar School back on the site where it was built in 1823, and videos of the move on Monday with 23 teams of oxen. More souvenir t-shirts available. Admission $5 a carload. Free Parking if you bring a pie or two for the auction and slice sale. Drop the pie off at the Hall House and get a parking ticket. Volunteers needed.
