Farm To Plate Benefit Event - August 16th in Craftsbury Village!

The 2nd Annual Farm To Plate Feast to support Wonder & Wisdom is coming up on Tuesday, August 16th, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The event takes place in the new community greenspace at 321 South Craftsbury Road, which was donated to Wonder & Wisdom last winter.

Pete's Greens, Bonnieview Farm, Brown's Beautiful Blueberries, Jasper Hill, Patchwork Bakery, and many more local farms and businesses are donating fresh produce and cheeses for the event. The Craftsbury General Store will use the fresh foods to prepare a delicious vegetarian dinner. Blueberry sundaes, made with Kingdom Creamery ice cream, are the featured dessert.

The Tree Frog Trio, accompanied by Don Houghton, will offer live instrumental music and folk songs in the greenspace's natural amphitheater. Volunteers from The Art House will be on hand to guide walking tours of the recently finished stone labyrinth.

Event parking is reserved at The Music Box and other designated sites in the village. Participants are encourage to park and walk the short distance to the event, or ride the Wonder & Wisdom bus shuttle from the village parking sites to the greenspace.

Benefit tickets are $20 for adults and teens, $10 for ages 6 to 12, and free for ages birth to five. For information and to reserve tickets, visit http://www.wonderwisdom.org, call 533-9370, or email Jim Flint at jim@wonderwisdom.org. Reservations made by Sunday evening are recommended. The family-friendly event sold out last year with 130 people attending.
