The Wake Up to Dying Project will host an Open House in their Montpelier office this Tuesday as part of “Dying to Know Day.” D2KD is an international day of action in the month of August dedicated to bringing to life, conversations and community actions around death, dying and bereavement.
The Wake Up to Dying Project is an awareness campaign encouraging people to think and to talk about death, dying and life. Based in Montpelier, Vermont, we use first person audio stories and other creative avenues to engage the general public in this important topic. At the Open House, Wake Up to Dying Project staff and board will open their doors to meet and greet the community and share a mini-version of their successful end-of-life exhibit, which was installed in Burlington for four days this July. If you missed it, or would like to come back for more, now’s your chance!
Come say hi, have some snacks, look at artwork, browse books and local resources and listen to some of our first-person audio stories from people reflecting on death, dying and life.
From 6-7pm there will be a facilitated Death Chat. Please arrive a little before 6:00 if you would like to participate.
