Planting for Wildlife: Cultivating Reciprocity

* Learn how and why native and cultivated species have been integrated throughout 46 acres of forest, field, wetland and ponds

* Tour, discuss, identify plants and engage in educational activities

* Explore basic ecological principles, along with the roles of plants as providers and humans as co-inhabitors of the natural community

* Encounter American Chestnuts and learn of the work of the American Chestnut Foundation with Kendra Collins, New England Regional Science Coordinator

Facilitator: Kathy Kinter has been planting, tending, harvesting and utilizing the gifts of wild and cultivated plants for over 3 decades. She has taught and tended people of all ages in many capacities as an environmental educator, adjunct professor and social worker.

Location: Dragonfly Pond Farm W. Brookfield, Vermont
