This Week at the Richmond Farmers Market

Bike or Walk down to the market this week for some Maple Goodies and classic tunes!

Our Featured Vendor this week, Maria’s Maple Goodies, will be bringing her delicious maple treats that are sweetened only with local maple syrup! This week she’ll have raspberry pies, maple sticky buns and her classic maple butter fudge. Since you’ll need to try them all, I suggest a sticky bun for dessert at the market and the pies and fudge to bring home for the rest of the family!

Before you get to dessert there will be plenty of dining options this week, with most of our usual vendors returning from vacations! Wood Fired pizza will be back, along with the sweet hand pies, hot tamales, tacos and burritos, bureks, smoking chipotle popcorn and soft pretzels with hot chili sauce or mustard! This Friday is going to be a hot one, so you can grab a cup of honey lemonade, maple soda or nitro cold-brew coffee to cool down.

Our farmers are in the height of their harvesting season, so there will be lots of veggies for you to choose from this week. They’ll have sweet corn, baby pac choi, kohlrabi, broccoli, blueberries, currants, garlic, many tomato varieties, spinach, carrots, beets, dill, basil, potatoes, salad mix, kale, chard, salad turnip, cucumbers, edible flowers, scallions and more!

For other groceries, you’ll find eggs, pork, chicken, maple syrup and candies, honey cream, cinnamon raisin swirl bread, chili sauce, ketchup, cupcakes, cookies, kimchi, cut flowers, baklava, pistoli, organic whole been coffee, guacamole, fig trees and jams.

Our crafters this week will be returning with the ever entertaining hula hoops, lovely hand painted cards, fun handmade sock creations and beeswax candles.

Music this week will be provided by Walt Jones, and will start at 5:00. Walt will be playing some classics you might be forced to sing along to from artists like the Beatles, Billy Joel, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, John Prine and many more!

*Help our parking problem! If you can, walk or bike to the market, and if you have to drive find additional parking in the back parking lot behind the field, and at the town offices just up the street.
