Back Roads Readings is a series is sponsored by The Old Stone House Museum in Brownington, which brings distinguished poets to the Northeast Kingdom every summer. This Sunday features the final reading of the summer with Rachel Hadas and Vijay Seshadri. Rachel Hadas is the author of numerous books of poetry, essays and translations, including her latest collection, Questions in the Vestibule, and Strange Relation: A Memoir of Marriage, Dementia, and Poetry. She teaches at Rutgers University and is a longtime summer resident of Danville, VT. Vijay Seshadri came to America from Bangalore, India at the age of five. He has published four collections of poems, the latest of which, 3 Sections: Poems, won the Pulitzer Prize in 2014. He teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
