Arthur Buck River Access Park Celebration

Past event
Aug 4, 2016, 4:30 PM

Please join the Vermont River Conservancy and the Town of Moretown on Thursday, August 4th at 4:30pm to celebrate the planting of the Arthur Buck River Access Park on Route 2, and to dedicate the conserved land to Craig Elwell, Moretown Road Foreman 1988-2010.
With funding from a Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife Watershed Grant to improve ecology and recreation of the park, VRC and volunteers planted over 200 hundred trees and shrubs at the park, improved the river access path, and installed an overlook bench. Come enjoy the Winooski River with your family, free ice cream, and stories about Arthur Buck and Craig Elwell.
Bring a hat and water.
Location: On Route 2, river side between the landfill and Lover’s Lane.
Questions?: To find out more about helping steward the land or tending the new trees, please e-mailLydia@vermontriverconservancy.org or call VRC at 229-0820.
