Join Good Beginnings and the VT Department of Health as we celebrate breastfeeding across the globe! The Global Big Latch On takes place at a registered locations around the world, where women gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other. Their friends, family and community join this celebration to promote and support breastfeeding.
The Big Latch On will begin on the State House lawn at around 10 am. As many mothers as possible across the world will latch their babies (of any age) to their breasts at the same time. The Big Latch On count occurs at 10:30 am and after that we will carry a banner down the street to the Farmer’s Market. A limited supply of cute toddler tee-shirts will be handed out. After the nursing ends, everyone will parade to the square at Christ Episcopal Church next to the Farmer's Market.
Help to beat last year's worldwide record and show our community that breastfeeding is natural and should be supported!
