Greetings Greater Essex Friends --

This week (7/29) our 5 Corners Farmers Market introduces TWO new initiatives.

First, we will be setting up a "Kids in the Kitchen" Tent - a booth for the preschool set to pretend to cook and serve foods, fruits and veggies. We'll have play food and dishes as well as some crayons and coloring sheets. And some seats for Mom or Dad to take a load off and let the kids enjoy.

Second, we will be bringing back recipes that feature many products available each week at the market. Stop by the market manager's booth for this week's recipes and menu ideas and then pick up the needed ingredients from our many farmers.

Our farmers' harvest is really beginning to come in and this is exciting news for the cook in the family! This week, we'll see red potatoes, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, peppers. blueberries, lettuce, beets, and others!

Our farmers will also include the best fresh whole organic chicken available in the state, as well as a wide variety of grass fed and grass finished beef and pork, including bacon and sausage.

Our artists include fun prints from Aje Illustrations, notes and cards from Studio JKL, and hand-made books from local Jason Tam.

Lastly, Kammel Fudge is back with her yummy fudge as well as berries and pickles.

While your at the market, enjoy dinner from El Gato, ImSabai (Thai street food), Grab Cheeses (artisan grilled cheeses), the ever popular Mediterranean Mix, and the fun Fork in the Road food truck bringing fun food from the Burlington School District.

Come and enjoy the music of Jim Shaw from one of our eight picnic tables!
