Don't miss the second and final performance of Marilynn Barner Anselmi's timely new play "Mama's Girls", at Chandler this Friday the 29th at 7:30 PM, followed by a talkback with Dr. Lou DiNicola plus transgender youth and their parents.

Randolph resident Bennett Law says this about the first performance: "'Mama’s Girls' is a provocative exploration of gender expression, and the inherent, undeniable aspects of gender identity. I was stunned by the depth of the audience response. The post-performance talk-back, hosted by Dr. DiNicola with representatives from Outright Vermont and the transgender clinic at UVM Medical Center, highlighted the crucial role of allies in facilitating acceptance in contrast to the conflicted responses of family members depicted in the play. People shared personal stories of experiences with their own friends, and discussed how changes in our culture have brought discussions like this into the open. The powerful Vermont Pride Theater performance educated and challenged the audience while providing them an opportunity to share the experience with one another. This is what theater is all about – I cannot recommend it more highly!"
