In this full-day program of getting dirty, experimenting and having fun, campers explore the joys of creating with the Earth’s most common building material—the earth itself. Kids will learn all about cob - a mixture of clay, straw and sand that people have used for building walls, ovens, and houses for thousands of years. They will learn to make clay slip and strong earthen bricks, work on a waddle & daub wall (traditional building method), “chink” a tiny log cabin, and create their own cob sculptures.
