Marsha Garrison: Travel by Teaching: A Semester in Myanmar
The slowest form of travel is staying in place. Marsha spent the Spring 2016 semester teaching at the Yangon University Law Department as a Fulbright Scholar. Her adventures included spending a month in limbo waiting for a teaching visa, finding an apartment and an exterminator, coping with constant power outages, getting to know students and faculty members, and experiencing a fascinating culture during an extraordinary transitional period. She managed to fit in some pretty amazing touristic activities, too.
