Warren Library welcomes founding editor of Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture, Willcox B. and Harriet M. Adsit Professor of Russian at Williams College, Darra Goldstein to explore riches and features of Russian cuisine and culture.

Russian literature is filled with accounts of elaborate feasts, but what about the real foods of the people? Against a backdrop of history and culture, Goldstein will look beyond dishes like Beef Stroganoff and Veal Orloff that have come down through the ages, shining a light instead on hearty grains, foraged mushrooms and berries, and fabulous dairy products.

Copies of the anniversary addition of A Taste of Russia will be available for sale and signing. Event is free and open to pubic.
