On Saturday, July 23 I'll have a booth at the Waterbury Flea Market for my annual tool sale. The market is at a new location just west of the Cider House BBQ and Pub on U.S Rt. 2. See their website http://www.waterburyfleamarket.com/ . I'll have my best selection yet of woodworking and metalworking hand tools, including many planes, hand saws, chisels, combination squares, bevel squares, draw knives, spoke shaves, braces, bits, non-electric hand drills, vises, bar clamps, 50 and 100 foot tapes, layout tools, hammers, snips, wrenches, hand-cranked bench grinder, anvil and a few other blacksmithing tools, etc. These are high-quality older tools from Stanley, Millers Falls, Lufkin, K&E, Pexto, Craftsman, Starrett, Brown & Sharpe, etc. They are mostly user-grade rather than collectors' items, but there's no junk. Planes: block, smooth, jack, jointer, fillister/rabbet, shoulder rabbet, side rabbet, router, combination (Stanley no. 45) and scraper planes. Chisels: Stanley no. 60 butt chisels, bevel edge socket chisels, heavy Union framing chisels (to 2"). Vises: 2 small woodworking vises and a patternmaker's vise. Machinist's tools include a nice oak tool chest (Ace 7-drawer), Starrett micrometer set (0 to 5 inches), other mics, B&S universal bevel, B&S vee blocks, dial indicators, layout tools, end mills, angle blocks, set of parallels, etc. And there's more: a Plumb ship carpenter's adze, a nice set of turning chisels, and a small set of carving chisels.
I should be set up by about 8:30 and will be there until at least 3 p.m. If you have a question about the tools, you can call me at 454-1220.
