Gasland 2: the Dimock Story, Film Screening

Past event
Jul 25, 2016

Hi Neighbors,

350Vermont welcomes families to our next Mother Up! Parents Exchange for Change event.

Join us for a one-hour segment of Josh Fox's powerful film, Gasland 2, where we'll examine the dangers of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. As Joanna Macy implores, we we'll look straight at the tough stuff, so we can respond to the climate crisis in a deeply meaningful and committed way.

This film will also be a bridge for an August trip to Dimock, PA, an epicenter of fracking in the Marcellus Shale region. On that trip, Mother Up! families will bear witness to the impacts of fracking, meeting with families and individuals who face polluted waters and seized land.

This is a family event. Kids activities will be provided (best-suited for ages 4-12). For kids, we will screen some short films on youth taking action.

Pizza provided, so RSVP if you are able to maeve@350vt.org

Where: 350Vermont office, 255 S. Champlain St., Burlington
