The Waterbury Public Library is offering FREE Qi Gong classes for five Fridays at 11:00 AM starting this Friday, July 22. The other classes will be held on July 29, August 5, 12, & 26 (no class on August 19).
Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese holistic system integrating slow, easy physical Qi-Gongpostures, breathing techniques and focused intention for energy, strength, and mindfulness. There is no need to remember movements. You can do it standing or sitting. The facilitators, Kenneth Russell (local SASH Coordinator) & Helena Wirth, will be using PBS’s Lee Holden video “Qi Gong for Seniors”.
Space is limited for these classes! Registration is required for EACH WEEK, with priority going to folks 65 and older. Please call the Library at 244-7036 to get your name on the list!
