This summer, join us for a transformational experience for teens. Marking the passage into adulthood is a powerful way of embodying maturity and responsibiity. We will be joined by elders to share various traditional ceremonies.

Mayan Grandmother Nana Wilma will be travelling to Vermont from Guatemala. She will be hosted by Circle of Women International for two weeks in August. Nana brings, humor, focus, and her rich ancient tradition. Nana loves working with teens and will be offering a traditional Mayan fire ceremony at the gathering.
For boys and girls ages 12-15.
Families are welcome for opening ceremony and closing ceremony. Teens will be camping together at Dreamland.
Potluck for opening and closing. The rest of the meals will be provided.
Suggested donation is $100 per family.

Exercises and games- building trust
lunch -farewells to parents, teens through portal
Councils start (girls with women, boys with men)
Parents council and workshops- (shifting into new roles, relationship and responcibilities with teen, prepare for welcoming celebration) Adults go home before dinner and return in morning.
Journey to find a power animal
Purification and preparation for solo quest in forest
Light dinner
7pm to 7am.
Wednesday
Teens return- debrief, snacks
Celebration and feast by community
Sharing circle
