Carillon Concert at Norwich This Saturday!

Past event
Jul 23, 2016, 1 to 2 PM

The Norwich University Summer Carillon Concert Series continues this Saturday at 1 pm on the Upper Parade Ground with a performance by Sergej Gratchev and his son, Nikita. Sergej is a favorite of the Northfield carillon concert crowd, while Nikita will be performing for the first time at Norwich. Please bring a lawn chair and relax in the shade to folk, classical, popular, and Broadway tunes, both old and new. Following the hour-long concert, the tower will remain open for a half hour. Guests are invited inside to meet the performers, see the bells, and view a demonstration on the instrument. The carillon is the largest musical instrument in the world, and only two exist in the state of Vermont. It is a great event for entertaining out-of-town guests. After this Saturday there will be two more concerts, on July 30 and August 6. Hope to see you there!
