The Grand Isle Historical Society Annual Business Meeting for will be held on Tues., July 19th at 6:30 P.M. This take place at the 1814 Block Schoolhouse located on the site of the Hyde Log cabin just north of the Grand Isle Elementary School. This business meeting is very urgent and we invite the public to attend, join in the discussion, and become active members. In order to maintain the GIHS status as a nonprofit, nontaxable organization we must have a slate of officers that includes President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. The current President, Vice-President and Treasurer are no longer able to serve but are willing to mentor new people. The Executive Board feels that the current showing of interest in Grand Isle History as shown in The Growing up in Grand Isle County Facebook page, indicates the time is now for local people to become involved. Following the meeting we will have refreshments which will be a do it yourself "Make you Own Ice Cream Sundae". During refreshments there will be a video tour of Grand Isle. Please join us.
