Celebrate Conservation & Community with South Hero Land Trust

Past event
Jul 24, 2016, 10 AM to 2 PM

South Hero Land Trust will celebrate another year of Conservation and Community on July 24! Join us for a potluck picnic, keynote speaker Amy Seidl, a wildflower walk, vineyard tour, and more! Plus, help us celebrate two outstanding community members.

Terry Robinson just retired from teaching at Folsom School. She was a special teacher who brought the community into the classroom and her students into the community. From working with students to build an outdoor classroom and trail at Folsom School, to her intensive history unit that had students out interviewing community members- her students developed a deep understanding of place and the South Hero landscape.

Chuck Hulse, local naturalist, just become a Master Naturalist through the Cornell University based NY Master Naturalist Program. As part of this program, he created a photographic guide to wildflowers at the Landon Farm (which is now posted on the SHLT website!), and he collaborated deeply with SHLT to create our 2016 Naturalist Series, a twelve month exploration of South Hero’s landscape and natural resources through monthly walks around the community.

Help us thank Terry and Chuck for their contributions to South Hero and South Hero Land Trust! Join us on Sunday at East Shore Vineyard, from 10-2. Everyone is welcome! Get the details at www.shlt.org, and call 372-3786 or email emily@shlt.org to RSVP.
