Enjoy a choral celebration of the changing seasons with COUNTERPOINT at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center this Saturday!
The eclectic and exciting program includes the complete Estaciones Portenas (Seasons of Buenos Aires), a set of four tangos by Argentine master Oscar Escalada, and Early Morning Mists, an evocative cantata by Israeli composer Yehezkel Braun setting his own seasonal haiku. In addition, there are Romantic partsongs by Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms, songs from Broadway’s Golden Age, and a selection of recent works depicting Vermont’s own seasonal cycle by local composers Sara Doncaster, Peter Hamlin, Erik Nielsen, Kevin Quigley, and Carol Wood.
