"Hamilton: The Man, The Play, the Music"
Presented by Willard Sterne Randall, Distinguished Scholar in History and Professor Emeritus, Champlain College.
Willard Sterne Randall is the Distinguished Scholar in History and Professor Emeritus at Champlain College. He is the author of thirteen books, including six Founding Father biographies. His Benedict Arnold, Patriot and Traitor, was a Notable Book of the New York Times. His George Washington, A Life was selected for Reader’s Digest’s volume, World’s Greatest Biographies. His New York Times bestseller, A Little Revenge: Benjamin Franklin and His Son and Alexander Hamilton, A Life both contributed to PBS series.

After an award-winning career in Philadelphia journalism, Randall completed graduate studies at Princeton University before moving to Vermont to write and to teach history. He has appeared frequently on C-Span and on The History Channel as well being interviewed on National Public Radio.

Today’s talk answers the question, “Has a hit Broadway musical altered the telling of early American history?”
