Vermont College of Fine Art is partnering with Langdon Street Alive to offer a free community art night in downtown Montpelier on Thursday, July 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. VCFA’s Art & Design Education graduate students will work with the public on a collaborative community mural project on Langdon Street called "Within Reach." It promises to be a festive evening with friends and neighbors as we close down Langdon Street for a night of art-making and live music!

The simplicity or complexity of each piece is up to the artist—each artist’s contribution will be collaged together and installed as a collaborative mural on the façade of Global Gifts and the new antique store. The more participants, the stronger and more diverse the piece will become, and participants of all ages are encouraged to join in.

We will finish the evening with music from two utterly fantastic and totally rockin' local bands at Buch Spieler Records: Anachronist at 8:30 p.m. followed by Coquette at 9:15 p.m. See you there!
