Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sundog Poetry Center is changing the date of our Nature Poetry Camp to the first week in August, Monday - Friday, 9:00 - noon each day. This summer’s camp will be held at the Cambridge Community Center in Jeffersonville and focus on Jeffersonville’s Brewster River. We will read, discuss, and write poems about rivers and in particular the Brewster River, learning where its source is, where it flows, and the flora and fauna that it supports. We will explore each participant’s “water address,” past and present uses of water, and the interaction of humans and rivers. We will also discuss potential information and poetry to post on a permanent sign or signs about the Brewster River for the community and visitors to read. For students entering grades 5 - 7; limited to 10 participants.
