Be part of the first ever “Bike Me Out to the Ballpark” event on Sunday, July 10th in collaboration with Local Motion, Skirack, the Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association (CATMA), and Champlain College Transportation.
In an effort to encourage alternative modes of transportation to and from Vermont Lake Monsters games at Centennial Field, fans are encouraged to ride their bikes to the ballpark for the game this Sunday as the Lake Monsters face the Batavia Muckdogs at 5:05pm. Fans will be able to bike to the ballpark from two locations, one in the North End of Burlington and one in the South End, led by volunteer coordinators, the Burlington Police, and a few special guests.
There will be free on-site Valet Bike Parking by Local Motion and a mechanic from Skirack to help out. All bike riders will be able to use their bike valet ticket in exchange for a free Lake Monsters game ticket.
Bike trains will depart at 3:15pm from Hannaford in the Ethan Allen Shopping Center and The Edge on Eastwood Drive. You can join the bike train at pickup points along the way or just bike to the game on your own.
